
Feelings of inadequacy, fear and overwhelm, are not signs that you are doing it wrong. In fact, these feelings may be a sign that you are doing it right and are awake to the struggle.
The planet is an interplay of light and dark energies. You are a a vessel made of star dust circulating this energy. The challenge is honing your energetic system so that you can recognize the dark energy, feel it, process it and transform it into meaning. Meaning holds the light.
It is imperative that you strengthen and hone your energetic system so you can fulfill your energetic function as a trauma processor. In light of this, self care is not a luxury; It is a mandate.
✓ Self-care starts with facing the inevitability of the flesh. It entails being a warrior in the face of your own pleasure and despair. Feel the impingements of craving and desire. Take one more breath and and resolve to move forward on your own behalf.
✓ Your foundation resides in your body. The viscerally of your flesh is the root of being.
✓ Your ability to process and regulate life energy, including oxygen, food, money and the inevitable impingements of craving and aversion, functions within the vessel of bone, flesh and feeling you inhabit. Your identity and sense of self is wrought from this foundation. It is your responsibility to care and tend to this vessel so you can stand up to the dark and generate the light.

You can’t do it alone. But you also must accept that you are ultimately alone. You need friends and comrades to hear your stories and share in your delights and tragedies. You must also accept that at the day, it’s all you.
Life is a dynamic interplay of dark and light. Our shared human challenge is learning to strengthen our physical, energetic systems so that we can respond to the darkness without succumbing to resignation and bitterness. The joy is found in our shared journey, the support we lend, the stories we tell. Does any of it make sense? Sometimes and we need one another to remind us of that when meaning collapses.
Your calling is to be your own best friend. This means telling yourself the truth and doing what is hard. Avoidance and denial are false comforts and weaken you in the face of what will inevitably come.
You must cultivate a deep allegiance to yourself and your own well being. No one will do this for you. If you didn’t get it in childhood, then its on you to do it for yourself now. This is sobering news and it’s how the work is done. If it’s not you, then who? If not now then when?
It never gets easier. But you can get stronger.
Nothing makes sense but at times it all makes sense. Everything is a paradox. Let’s enjoy our time marveling and despairing as it unfolds.
